I had read one of these short stories in a periodical many years ago ("Red's Tango"), and I didn't think it particularly lent itself to oration, so I was curious to hear how the reader handled it. be viewed eventually as the best book about the court during the opening half-decade of John Roberts’ reign as chief justice. Jacqui Lee's illustrations are really charming and nicely detailed for the curiosities of the 1-3year old set. A chapter is also devoted to each of twelve minor river systems - the Derriaghy, Colin, Blackstaff, Forth, Legoniel, Farset, Milewater, Ravernet, Purdysburn, Cregagh, Knock and Connswater as well as the Lagan Navigation. Or perhaps I'm just missing it. Barbara as always does a fabulous job of weaving past and present and bringing it all together in the end. Poetry would never quite recover and have the good name (according to Wilfrid Sheed in his forward "Leave it to Psmith") in the English-speaking world but young poetic followers of Byron would be trampled on by teachers, fellow students, and professors ever after.
