tc. Written in a very readerfriendly style, the book also discusses the film's depiction of the Jews and Romans and examines the various sources of "The Passion, notably The Dolorous Passion of Our Lord Dolorous Passion of our Lord Jesus Chirst, by Anne Catherine Emmerich. One chapter examines how the movie has changed people's lives and an Appendix compares "The Passion of the Chirst to other movies about the life of Jesus. Religious studies classes in high schools, colleges and seminaries, as well as discussion groups in parishes and individuals eager to explore the Church's teachings as depicted in this film will find this book invaluable. Even more, it makes for wonderful meditative reading, especially during Lent but also throughtout the year, privately or in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.
